Greece will not ask for help, as Mr. Papandreou announced……
but will take it for granted that the EU should pay for their fraud,

Should Greece left the euro zone due to their fraud? Papandreou emphasized that Greece did not ask for help. Hopefully this will last. Foto ©aep-d.de 2010
for this reason thousands of protesters demonstrate in Athene not to cut the wages and social payments. It seems to be that this should be better done in Germany or France or Holland. Everybody knows about the firmness and aggressiveness of protesters and unions in contrast to other country’s of the EU like Germany and Holland. Those country’s are good enough to shut up and pay the bill.
A closer look to the European Union Treaty proves that Greece can not be bailed out by the European Union. Further it is possible to leave the European Union, which first was foreseen by the treaty.
To join the EU a country has to meet the Copenhagen criteria for some years ahead, defined at the 1993 Copenhagen European Council. Also the legislation and corruption must be aligned to previously defined standards. Those standards are the respects of human rights and the rule of law; a functioning market economy capable of competition within the EU, meaning a maximum new indebtedness rate of 3% .
Greece knew that they will exceed this value extraordinary behind the horizon. Now Greece count for 13% instead of 3% loss. This would be the highest fraud against the net payer of the EU.
An acceptance of the obligations of membership, including EU law in the euro zone seems to be lost. Because the European Council is responsible for the evaluation of a country’s fulfillment of the criteria, today all euro zone states look towards Brussels and their helpless decisions and tactic.
No member state has ever left the Union, although Greenland (an autonomous province of Denmark) withdrew in 1985. The Lisbon Treaty provides a clause dealing with how a member can leave the EU. But there seem to be no specific rule, how a state can be excluded, because of corruption or contract killings or capital crime by misruling financial obligations.
It seems to be that a country can not be forced to be responsible for their fraud.
Greece has “badly injured” the idea and spirit of the EU. After the potential of economic crime was revealed fewer European citizen will believe into a “social acting community” where each citizen should be also responsible for others.
If Greece will pass without consequences, then solidarity and confidence will damaged the currency of the euro zone.
Therefore it is time to split off the good ones from the bad ones. Greece should leave the euro zone and start with it’s own currency again till situation has been improved. That does not mean that Greece has to leave the European Union, but Brussel must give a sign to save Europe at all!
